My Formula of Contentment

I approach my life with the following philosophy: Enjoy every minute of it, make the most of every second.  These are clichéd sayings but what do they mean?  Everyone has a formula that will be his/her equal parts recipe to happiness, peace, and contentment.  What’s yours?  It’s important to think about before you embark on a lifestyle commitment.  For me the balance is the following (M-Fri):

Work (which is also a passion of mine – educating, creating, and writing) takes up the majority of my day at a minimum of 10hrs/day (approx 6am – 4pm).

Working out takes up approximately an hour of my day.  (30 mins in the AM and 30mins before I go to bed)

Sleep is a mandatory 6 hours (approx 10pm – 4am).

ME: The other 7 hours of the day are spent playing, relaxing, or running errands.  It’s important to me that I have ME time usually spent reading a book and drinking a cup of tea or communing with nature.  I also enjoy having QT with friends and family, usually as a de-stressor after work.  Often times, I’m at great happy hours that offer healthy food and drink options.  More on that later as we get further into the blog.

If I feel like it, I will also use this time to add more intensive/longer cardio workouts.  As an Aquarian, I run more off of feelings in my day-to-day decision-making so there is not a set schedule or plan.  These are just general concepts I revolve my life around.

Working out and ME will be the primary topics of discussion on this blog.

Working Out will house my routines, links to videos, and other tips.
ME will house recipes, food, and drink tips.  Dining out options.  How to stay on track during vacations, etc.
